In February 2019 Partner Patrick F. Carrigg is appointed Special Counsel to the Elizabeth Board of Education.

Partner Michael A. Pattanite, Jr. obtained a dismissal with prejudice on behalf of a Superintendent of a New Jersey Public School from a former student’s claims of unfair, discriminatory and unconstitutional conduct. The Honorable Jamie S. Perri, J.S.C. of the Monmouth County Superior Court dismissed the case before discovery in March 2019.

2018 News

n January 2018 Senior Partners Gregory Giordano and Michael A. Pattanite, Jr. negotiated a defense friendly settlement of a medical negligence claim for wrongful death injuries brought against a physician then completing his surgical residency.

Partner Patrick F. Carrigg met with United States Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito at an event held by the Hamilton Township Education Association dedicating Free Library to Rose Alito in January 2018.

In February 2018 Partner Gregory Giordano negotiated a defense friendly settlement on behalf of a neurological surgeon alleged to have deviated from the standard of care in the performance of spinal surgery.

December 2017

On December 7, 2017, Robert F. Casey represented an Appellant before the Princeton Historic Commission (“PHC”) in Princeton, New Jersey. Mr. Casey’s clients were appealing a decision of the Princeton Historic Commission relative to his clients’ fence along Cherry Hill Road in Princeton. The clients’ original fence (a white panel fence) was damaged by a car accident and subsequently replaced in front of their historic farmstead with a post-and-rail fence. In short, the clients applied for approval of the replacement fence with PHC, said approval was denied and determined, in essence, not to be in keeping with the PHC’s standards and ordinance.

In April 2016 partner Joseph Lang obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a Board Certified General and Thoracic Surgeon after a three-week jury trial in Mercer County Superior Court.
